Photographers and Ullstein Publishing have shaped the history of the Ullstein photographic collection. After 1933, this included biographies that were rewritten by persecution, professional bans, and periods of exile – ranging from the Ullstein family of entrepreneurs to employees and business partners, and extending to a multitude of renowned photographers. Today, their works are frequently featured as loans in relevant museum exhibitions. This is a chapter in the collection’s history that is well worth highlighting in scholarly articles and analyses. Key publications in recent years have paved the way. Through a selection of exemplary original works and documents, you will gain insight into this part of the history of the Ullstein Collection at ullstein bild, one of the most significant collections of photography. The tour will last about an hour. For more information and offers related to the collection, please visit: https://www.axelspringer-syndication.de/en/service/exhibitions
